My knowledge of differences are that the 330 has the following: Bigger brakes. Chrome bezels around the gauges, and trim around the body. Standard sport suspension. Larger wheels/tires. Sport Package offers unique body add ons that the 325 does not offer. Standard HK sound system. Standard On Board Computer.
What the 320 Gets Right. As the most basic 3-Series on the market, the BMW 320 boasts a lower starting price of $34,445 (destination fees included), allowing for additional options or a little extra savings over the 330. Despite its relatively low base price, the 320 is far from stripped down. It includes standard 17-inch wheels, keyless entry
The 330ci and the 330i are identical when it comes to performance. The 330xi is 4WD and is slower than the 330ci and the 330i. If want the most out of the 330, buy the Performance Package 6-speed (ZHP). There is more of a difference between the 325xi and 325i. Then Car and Driver tested a 2003 330i Performance Package on 9/03 which did the 0-60 in 5.6 sec, the
325ci: 175lb/ft. 330ci: 214lb/ft. (Difference: 39lb/ft) An extra 41hp and 39lb/ft may not sound like much, but it makes the 330 a much better drive than a 325.
The only real difference is the amount of heat you'll be able to pump into them over sustained use. More capacity, more capability under extended/hard use. Normal use will feel and operate the same. This is something most people don't get. They assume they'll get "better pedal feel bro" by upgrading their brake size.
